필리핀 공동체 여름캠프 소식

From 30th to 31st July, GFMC and YIUTSARI had an outing. This outing was quite unusual. As you know, Gimpo is near the west sea. It means that the outing toward the west sea can save time and money. It is why we annually have visited west sea. 

The West sea is unpopular among people because of the rough pebbles and yellow seas. Many people want to go to another sea.

This time we decided to go to the east sea. We planned to depart at 7:00 p.m. But too many Filipinos came, so we called another bus. Totally more than 150 Filipinos joined the outing.

At the first time we made a reservation of 3 buses. 

It took more than 4 hours from Yanggok to Gangwondo. When we arrived, it was already 12 o'clock. We was very lucky, because there were a little people on the beach. The reason of small numbers on the beach was cold temperature of the water. Anyway, we could easily find a place for three tents on the beach.

Luckily there were small groups of tourists on the beach. We could easily install three tents. Under the normal circumstances, we never expected to find the suitable places. 

From the mid-night, we started cooking, eating, and talking. From mid-night to 4 p.m., we continually cooked, ate and talked. And some brave Filipinos swam. Because of cold water, some Filipinos hesitated to enter into the water. 

Korean barbecue is best friend of the outing. Another best friend is soju. We deepened our friendship with two best friends.

In spite of cold climate, some Filipinos enjoyed swimming and playing with beach ball. 

Again with best friends-Korean barbecues and sojus-, we enjoyed our times on the beach.

Some families joined the outing. 

Some crazy Filipinos jumped into the water from the tower. Why they paid money for this crazy jump...?

Two Korean novices of the Society of Jesus- Br. Carlos and Br. Martin- joined the outing.

Jun Bermeo, the president of GFMC, was talking with Erick, the new-comer.

We returned to Gimpo at mid-night. We were very lucky. When we arrived, it rained. During the outing, it didn't rain. 

At next year, we hope to have the outing with revised and reformed accommodations.
